She holds a Master’s degree in theater from The University of North Texas. She taught theater and speech communications and coached the speech team at UTA for six years. She was on staff as a professional actress and teacher at Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth for 10 years before moving to Houston for a short hiatus.
